Child Care Eligibility List (CCEL) Overview

The Child Care Eligibility List (CCEL) is designed to simplify the application process for parents seeking subsidized child care. Through the Child Care Eligibility List, a parent can apply for every state-subsidized child care program in Contra Costa County with one, easy application. Subsidized child care programs include all state-subsidized programs that help parents pay for child care. The Child Care Eligibility list is organized by eligibility, which is determined by income, family size and need.

This system affords many benefits. It allows the most eligible families to be chosen for child care first. Additionally, through this list parents can apply for every subsidized child care option in Contra Costa County with a single application. In this way it provides parents with a wide array of child care resources through one, simple application process. Similarly, child care programs are able to easily access families across the county.
