Dear ECE Providers:
As we approach the end of the 2025–2026 fiscal year in June, we want to remind you that the budget allocated for this period is running low. If you have completed the CPR and/or Preventive Health and Safety course on or after July 1, 2025, or if you plan to complete it before June 30, 2026, please submit your reimbursement documents no later than June 30, 2026.
Please note that reimbursements are issued on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to available funding. Courses taken after June 30, 2026, will not qualify for reimbursement, in accordance with program guidelines.
Based on the current program requirements, providers are eligible to receive up to $150.00 for completing training as noted below:
- 8-hour Pediatric CPR and/or
- 8-hour Preventive Health and Safety classes.
Thank you for your understanding!

Health and Safety Training
Please be aware that not all training meets Community Care Licensing’s requirements for the 16-hour of Child Care Health and Safety course. In the Manual of Policies and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes, Title 22 Division 12 Chapter 3, under the Health and Safety Code Section 1596.866, is stated that “The licensee and other personnel as specified shall complete training on preventive health practices, including pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation and pediatric first aid, according to Health and Safety Code Section 1596.866.”
- If you are taking Pediatric CPR and Pediatric First Aid, trainers must provide either an American Red Cross or American Heart Association card or an EMSA sticker after your training.
- For the Preventative Health Practices portion of the training, all providers, including the Red Cross, must be EMSA-approved and supply stickers.
- If the 16-hour Child Care Health and Safety course is completed at an accredited college, it will satisfy Community Care Licensing requirements.
