What is it?

The Child Care Job Bank is a low cost service to help Contra Costa child care employers recruit staff for their child care centers, preschools and family child care homes. Our goal is to connect child care employers with the people who want to teach and care for children. There is no cost to job seekers.

Job seekers

Now you can search for listings by location or job title. Registration is not required and there is no cost to view the listings.


Now you can access the listings you create in the new system at any time. Renew or edit listings and pay online by credit card. Registration is required.

Who can post jobs?

At the current time, this service is offered only to licensed child care centers, preschools and family child care homes located in Contra Costa County, California.

How much does it cost to post a job?

Each job listing costs $35 for two weeks or $65 for four weeks. You can pay online with Visa or MasterCard.

Refund Policy

  • Employers can cancel a listing at any time. Depending on when the listing is cancelled, the employer may be entitled to a refund, as detailed below:
    • For credit card payments, you may remove a job listing within the first 24 hours of posting and receive a refundĀ minus a $15 chargeback fee to credit your charge card. The chargeback fee also will be in effect if a listing is cancelled prior to posting, but the employer’s credit card has already been processed.
    • After a listing is posted for 24 hours, no refunds will be given, although the listing can be removed early at the employer’s request.
  • If we are unable to meet the terms of our agreement due to computer system problems, we will extend the length of time your listing is posted by the number of days the Child Care Job Bank is unavailable for viewing by the public. No refund of job listing fees will be given, except as noted above, unless the system problems last for more than one week.


The Contra Costa Child Care Council provides a place for employers to post job opportunities and for job seekers to view listings but is not involved in the actual transaction between employers and job seekers. As a result, the Child Care Council has no control over the quality, safety or legality of the jobs, the truth or accuracy of the listings, or the ability of employers to offer job opportunities to candidates. The Child Care Council reserves the right to decline or remove job postings at any time.
