DESCRIPTION:  \nPresented by Cristina Hickey\, Child Abuse Prevention Council of Contra Costa County \nThe Child Abuse Prevention Council provides classes for community educators and professional groups on Mandated Reporting. We will discuss the issues of child abuse and the legal responsibilities of California’s mandated reporters. All child care providers are encouraged to attend. There will not be a test at the end of the class. Everyone working with children are Mandated Reporters! \nNote: This class is for the AB 1207 Mandated Reporter Training. SUMMARY:Circle Time: Music\, Movement and Fingerplays
DESCRIPTION:As our society is moving towards use of computers\, screen and technology even for our very young learners\, it has become pertinent to revisit importance of circle time in early learning environment. Circle time is a means to build social interaction and kinesthetic learning\, importance of these elements was visible during pandemic when even our young learners were forced to be on screen and deprived of in person interaction. \nWe will learn different elements of an effective circle time. We will focus on how circle time can be designed and what are some of the benefits of circle time for young learners. How long should circle time last and what should be the targeted age group.
