DESCRIPTION:Presented by Angelina Shipe\, Child Abuse Prevention Council of Contra Costa County \nThe Child Abuse Prevention Council provides classes for community educators and professional groups on Mandated Reporting. We will discuss the issues of child abuse and the legal responsibilities of California’s mandated reporters. All child care providers are encouraged to attend. There will not be a test at the end of the class. Everyone working with children are Mandated Reporters! \nNote: This class is for the AB 1207 Mandated Reporter Training. This training is the updated curriculum and it has been approved by Community Care Licensing. This is for Contra Costa County and Alameda County providers/preschool teachers only. \nIf you have multiple staff joining the training\, they will need to register individually to receive a certificate. DESCRIPTION:The core mission of the Community Care Licensing Division\, Child Care Licensing Program is to maintain the health and safety of children by ensuring that licensed child care facilities meet established standards.  CARE Tool was developed to be used by Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) when conducting inspections in licensed facilities.  This tool focused in three priority areas: Prevention\, Compliance\, and Enforcement.  Child care program staff will use this tool during annual inspections.
