DESCRIPTION:Presented by: Keren Vargas\, Senior Health Education Specialist\, Contra Costa Health | Family Maternal Child Health (Public Health) \nLearn how to reduce the risk of SIDS and other sleep-related infant deaths through evidence-based guidelines from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). This training will cover safe sleep practices\, racial disparities in SUID\, and how to engage families using motivational interviewing. \nWe’ll also review California Community Care Licensing sleep requirements for infants 0–12 months\, including supervision\, equipment\, and documentation standards.
