The Preventive Health Training and Technical Assistance Program, created by the California Childcare Health Program (CCHP) in collaboration with the California Department of Social Services (CDSS), provides EMSA-approved training required for child care licensing. CocoKids staff are certified to deliver this comprehensive 8-hour course, designed to give early care and education professionals the knowledge and practical tools needed to support children’s health and safety. This training satisfies requirements for child care licensing, new facility permits, and staff certification compliance, while meeting Community Care Licensing regulations that require qualified staff to be on site at all times. The course is presented through three interactive modules:
- Prevention of Infectious Disease
- Prevention of Injuries
- Nutrition
Please note that participants must arrive on time and attend the full training session to be eligible for certification.
