Please be aware that not all training meets Community Care Licensing’s requirements for the 16-hours of Child Care Health and Safety course.
- If you are taking CPR and First Aid, trainers must provide either an American Red Cross or American Heart Association card or an EMSA sticker at the conclusion of your training.
- For the Preventative Health Practices portion of the training, all providers, including the Red Cross must be EMSA approved and supply stickers.
- If the 16-hour Child Care Health and Safety course is completed at an accredited college, it will satisfy Community Care Licensing requirements.
The Contra Costa Child Care Council does not endorse or recommend any particular trainer or training company.
