Quality Matters

• The Quality Matters Program (QM) supports and incentivizes early care and education programs to offer the best learning experiences possible to the children they serve. Quality Matters is a collaboration between CocoKids, Contra Costa County Office of Education, and First 5 Contra Costa.
• The goal of QM is to improve and expand the quality of early care and education in Contra Costa County to ensure that all children have access to quality programs.
• QM provides a variety of resources to early care and education programs serving children ages birth to 5 years. Participating in Quality Matters (QM) is voluntary, and support provided to each site depends on the individual readiness and needs of that site.
• During the first year of joining the program, you will begin as a QIS site and will have a coach assigned to guide you through the program’s first year.
• There are multiple benefits to joining the program!
  • • QM helps you enhance your program and introduces you to quality improvement strategies and resources.
    • You will receive coaching and training opportunities.
    • Training topics including: Health and Safety, assessment tools, curriculum development support, and MORE!
    • Resources and access to quality improvement tools to improve the quality of care you provide.
    • Monetary stipend, community building, networking, and more!
