It is necessary for the player to hit either the space bar or the up arrow key in order to cause the dinosaur to leap over the cactuses. The player must make it duck by using the down arrow key in order to avoid the dino game second obstacle, which consists of flying pterodactyls. When any of the two obstacles is encountered by the dinosaur, the game comes to a halt and shows the score simultaneously. In the game, points are earned for the amount of time that has passed.
