This year’s conference title is;
Recognizing Trauma: The Art of Helping One Another Heal

The theme of this conference will highlight the importance of trauma awareness in child care programs and strategies for resilience and healing.
We plan to have workshops on topics such as; trauma, adverse childhood experience, social emotional competence, building relationships, five protective factors for strengthening families, engaging fathers, yoga, meditation, dance therapy, art for healing, etc.
Our conference participants typically consist of approximately 60% early childhood teachers from child care centers, 30% licensed family child care providers and 10% parents and early childhood education students.
Although a majority of the workshops throughout the day will be related to the theme, we welcome other workshop topics that promote professional development and support the needs of children.
We hope you will take this opportunity to share your knowledge and expertise with the early childhood educators in Contra Costa County.
